Sportswriter Joe Biddle joins Nashville’s News 2 having covered sports in Nashville for more than three decades.
The Johnson City-native began his career in Tennessee as a sports editor and columnist at The Nashville Banner, having worked previously in Daytona Beach.
He began writing for The Tennessean in 1998 and has also done sports talk radio for more than 25 years in the Nashville market.
Joe is a four-time recipient of Tennessee Sportswriter of the Year from the Tennessee Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.
He is a Harris Interactive College Football Poll voter in the state of Tennessee and has been since its inception, and is also the state chairman for the Heisman Trophy voting.
The Harris Poll is a weekly ranking of the top 25 NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision college football teams.
The poll was created to replace the AP Poll, when decided it no longer wanted to be a part of the formula used by the BCS rankings to determine who plays in the BCS National Championship Game.
Joe recently moved from Franklin to Mt. Juliet and now lives in Lebanon with his wife and cat.
Nashville’s News 2 is proud and excited to have Joe as a part of our team.
