Tenn. man held in Ga. on child sex charge

CHATSWORTH, Ga. (AP) – The FBI says a 50-year-old Tennessee man is being held in the Murray County jail after attempting to meet with a child for the purpose of having sex.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Brian D. Lamkin said Thursday that William Andres of Henry, Tenn. was arrested on Wednesday in Chatsworth.

Lamkin says agents and members of the FBI's Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force arrested Andres in Chatsworth.

Lamkin says Andres had attempted to meet with a child but instead was met by officers of the FBI's Northwest Georgia Safe Child Task Force.

He says Andres is charged with attempted aggravated child molestation and violation of the Computer Pornography Act.
