NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An inmate who escaped from a Department of Correction work crew last month is scheduled to be returned to Tennessee on Thursday night.
Jacob Foster was working with a group of inmates on Interstate 440 and I-24 in Davidson County when he ran from correctional officers on August 24.
The 28-year-old was later found hiding at a home in Texas.
Authorities also believe he is responsible for robbing a bank in Texas.
Prior to his escape, Foster was serving a 23-year sentence for several theft and burglary convictions in Sumner County.
Police said after he is returned to Tennessee he will face escape charges. Texas authorities will also pursue bank robbery charges against him.
