BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Brentwood City leaders voted on Monday night to change a city ordinance to allow future sales of the homeless newspaper, The Contributor.
Brentwood leaders had previously received criticism when vendors were given tickets for selling the paper inside the city limits.
The American Civil Liberties Union stepped in filing a lawsuit against the city.
The newspaper is a nonprofit that aims to educate the public on homelessness and to help its vendors financially.
