LEBANON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added an alleged rapist to its Top 10 “Most Wanted” list.
Last August, Stephen Beck was indicted on nine counts of rape of a child, 16 counts of rape and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in Wilson County and three counts of rape of a child in Rutherford County.
Beck, 40, was scheduled to appear in a Wilson County courtroom Monday morning to enter a plea or set a trial date.
Warrants were issued for his arrest when he failed to show up.
Bonds man Johnny Knowles told Nashville’s News 2 he contacted the Beck family on Sunday afternoon to remind the man of his scheduled court day.
“We notified the family. He’s here. Everything is fine. We’ll be in court tomorrow and everybody was there today but him,” he said.
Beck is described as a white male, approximately five feet, 11 inches tall weighing 240 pounds.
He has black hair and hazel eyes and a tattoo on his left shoulder of a “heart” with the name “April” across it.
Beck was last known to be driving a blue 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with Tennessee license plate No. 0260AL.
The truck has a custom after market front grill and an “Alabama Fan” vanity plate with the logo of the elephant mascot on it.
Anyone with information on Beck’s whereabouts is urged to call the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND or the Wilson County Sheriff’s Department at 615-444-1412.
