SMYRNA, Tenn. – Police in Smyrna arrested two men Thursday following an altercation as a result of a drug deal gone wrong in the parking lot of a local apartment complex.

The incident at the Meadow Wood Apartments happened near the complex's pool and was witnessed by several people in the area.

Police said Jesse Wooten struck Travion “Tray” Fleming in the in the head with what was later determined to be a replica airsoft gun after Fleming robbed him and his friends of $40.

Fleming, 18, attempted to retrieve his handgun but dropped it after he was struck in the head.

He then fled the scene on foot and was located by police shortly after in a friend's apartment.

Wooten, 25, was also located nearby and arrested.

Both weapons were recovered at the scene.

Fleming is charged with aggravated robbery and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
 
Wooten is charged with aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
