GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (AP) – Authorities say a Nashville family was aboard a small plane that crashed in Guntersville, Alabama, killing two adults and injuring two children.
Officials told WHNT-TV in Huntsville, Ala., that those killed in the crash around 10 a.m. Saturday were the mother and father of the boy and girl.
They were returning from the beach and the plane stopped in Guntersville to refuel. Witnesses told authorities the plane crashed shortly after takeoff.
The crash remains under investigation. The identity of the victims has not been released.
