NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro police continue to search for an elderly man who walked away from his group home last Sunday morning.
According to authorities, 79-year-old Sidney Inman was last seen at around 8 a.m. at a north Nashville group home located at 3303 Hawkwood Lane.
Inman has walked away from the home nearly a dozen times over the years.
He wasn't reported missing until 8:45 a.m. Monday.
Officers have searched the neighborhood, checked hospitals, the Union Rescue Mission and other locations.
They have also been in contact with a motel in Woodbury where Inman went on one of his last walk offs.
Staff there had not seen him.
Inman, who shows signs of dementia, is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has gray hair and no teeth.
Inman likes to visit Walmart stores, tobacco stores and the Union Rescue Mission.
