NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro SWAT officers took a man accused of murder into custody Monday night in south Nashville.
Joshua Carter is named in warrants charging him with criminal homicide and aggravated robbery for the shooting death of Jordan Gardner earlier this month in a parking lot across the street from the Out of Bounds sports bar on Murfreesboro Pike.
A witness to the shooting identified Carter as the gunman.
The 27-year-old has prior felony convictions for facilitation of second degree murder and possession of cocaine for resale.
He was booked into the Metro jail on $1.2 million bond.
