NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An investigation is underway in south Nashville after a man was shot to death outside a Murfreesboro Pike sports bar early Friday morning.
The shooting happened in a parking lot across the street from Out of Bounds near Briley Parkway around 2:30 a.m.
Police said the victim, identified as 21-year-old Jordan Gardner, of Old Hickory, was talking with a friend and two women, one of whom he met in the club, when two men approached and attempted to rob him.
A struggle ensued and Gardner was shot. He died at the scene.
Although Gardner was reported to have been flashing money inside the club, detectives have not been able to substantiate that he and the two suspects were involved in any argument or altercation prior to the parking lot confrontation.
The suspects are described as two black men, one approximately five feet, seven inches tall who wore a white t-shirt, and the other approximately five feet, 10 inches tall who wore a dark shirt and ball cap.
They could possibly be driving a white Chevrolet Monte Carlo with silver rims, police said.
Anyone with information is urged to call Metro police or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
