SMYRNA, Tenn. – Police in Smyrna are searching for a man who robbed a local bank Tuesday morning at gunpoint.
Smyrna police Sgt. Bobby Gibson said the suspect entered the SunTrust Bank off Sam Ridley Parkway around 8:45 a.m., demanded money and then fled on foot.
The suspect was said to be about five feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds.
He was wearing a navy blue hooded sweatshirt with a navy blue Kroger apron on top and a light colored baseball camp at the time.
He was armed with a black, large frame, semi-automatic handgun, Sgt. Gibson said.
