NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Undercover detectives arrested a convicted drug dealer and his girlfriend Monday night after weapons, cocaine, and marijuana were located inside their north Nashville apartment.
Jarvis Hunter, 25, and Kiara Kennedy, 20, were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and cocaine in a drug free school zone, among other charges.
Metro police said their apartment is located within 1,000 feet of Robert Churchwell Elementary School.
Hunter is also charged with felon in possession of a weapon.
Seized during the execution of a search warrant were two loaded .38-caliber handguns, 4.3 grams of cocaine, and 29.9 grams of marijuana.
Hunter has previous convictions for aggravated robbery, possession of cocaine and marijuana for resale and aggravated burglary.
He is being held in lieu of $202,000 bond.
Kennedy is being held in lieu of $177,000 bond.
