Hermitage house fire contained to kitchen

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Crews were able to contain a fire at a house in Hermitage Wednesday to the home's kitchen.

The blaze broke out around 2 p.m. at the home located in the 4300 block of Central Valley Drive.

Crews were able to quickly contain the flames and limit the damage to the kitchen area.

A fire captain on the scene told Nashville's News 2 the homeowner was outside walking the dog when the fire started.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
