SMYRNA, Tenn. – The Rutherford County Commission has approved funding to build a new high school in Smyrna.
The school board is expected to seek a bond that would help pay for the new Stewarts Creek High School which is expected to cost around $50 million.
The school is expected to be built on the campus of Stewarts Creek Elementary and Middle schools.
Officials hope the school will open in 2013.
