GALLATIN, Tenn. – An investigation is underway in Gallatin after an incident at Hoeganaes Corporation early Monday morning.
The incident, described by Gallatin police Sgt. Bill Storment as a “flash fire”, occurred at the industrial plant on Airport Road just before 5 a.m.
Two people suffered extensive burns and were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Their conditions weren't immediately known.
Hoeganaes Corporation is the world leader in the production of atomized steel and iron powders, according to its Web site.
Additional information about the incident was not released.
The victims' names were also not released.
