NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Schools in Metro Nashville will once again be closed on Tuesday while others have chosen to open an hour or two late.
Metro Nashville Public Schools made the decision to cancel classes around 5 p.m. Monday. Schools in Wilson and Sumner counties are also closed for Tuesday.
Williamson County plans to open two hours late while Rutherford County will delay its start time by one hour. Murfreesboro City Schools will open at regular times.

Temperatures overnight Monday are forecasted to dip into the single digits and any moisture left on area roadways, especially on back roads and those less traveled, will likely refreeze.
Drivers are urged to use caution and stay off the roadways if at all possible.
