NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Motorists should expect lanes closures Wednesday night on Interstate 24 West near downtown Nashville.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation said the lane closures are due to repairs on two bridges along the interstate that cross Woodland Street and Spring Street.
The closures began at 8 p.m. on Wednesday and will continue until 5 a.m. Thursday morning.
If crews are unable to complete the bridge work on Wednesday night, the lanes will be closed again on Thursday night into Friday morning.
During the lanes closures, workers will remove and replace deteriorated concrete.
Motorists are advised to plan ahead and avoid the area.
Law enforcement officers will be stationed in the area to provide traffic control.
