NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man has been arrested by Metro police for an alleged robbery spree during the first week of August.
Demontrae Mooreland, 22, was arrested Monday night by Metro police officers and detectives on Mountain High Drive.
After an investigation by Detective Bill Stewart, Mooreland was identified as the one of two individuals who approached the victims outside of their homes and then robbed them at gunpoint.
Mooreland has confessed to six robberies so far, all aimed at Hispanics living primarily in South Nashville apartment complexes.
He is currently being held on $235,000 bond, facing five counts of aggravated robbery and one count of attempted aggravated robbery.
Mooreland's accomplice, a juvenile, is confined on unrelated charges and is expected to be charged with robbery counts soon.
