NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Authorities arrested a homicide suspect Thursday afternoon wanted in connection to a fatal shooting last week outside a north Nashville market.
Adrian Lewis, 25, was taken into custody on 28th Avenue North at Jefferson Street.
At the time of his arrest, police said he was armed with both a 40-caliber handgun and an assault type pistol.
A homicide warrant was issued last week charging Lewis with the August 4 fatal shooting of 27-year-old Darrell Terrell.
Witnesses identified Lewis as the man who shot Terrell outside the Obama Market on 40th Avenue North after a physical altercation between the two.
Metro police said Lewis, who was on parole at the time of Terrell's murder, has three previous convictions for evading arrest.
He has also been convicted of theft and domestic assault.
