NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two men are in the hospital after an argument turned violent Friday afternoon in south Nashville.
Police said the men were arguing about a truck on Charles E. Davis Boulevard just after 1 p.m. when one of the men retrieved a weapon and started shooting.
Metro police Commander Todd Henry said, “The other gentleman went and retrieved a firearm and come out and started indiscriminately shooting around all the people that were out on this beautiful Friday afternoon and he struck the one subject at least one time, maybe twice.”
The shooter didn't get far. Police said he shot himself in the leg while running away from the scene.
The victim is in critical condition.
Both men are being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Their names were not immediately released.
