NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Titans receiver Justin Gage is unlikely to play against Buffalo Sunday after tests Thursday revealed several broken transverse bones in his back.
Gage suffered the injury when he crashed to the field while making a spectacular grab against San Francisco Sunday afternoon.
The catch led to a go-ahead touchdown in the Titans 34-27 win.
Head Coach Jeff Fisher said Thursday the injury doesn’t involve any structure crucial to the spine and Gage has not complained of any problems moving his hands or feet.
Gage also said Wednesday he was hopeful he could play Sunday.
Fisher did not rule Gage out for the game, but did call him playing unlikely.
Kick-off is set for Sunday at Noon at LP Field.
