Dr. Michael LaDouceur, M.D.

Dr. LaDouceur is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, he completed his orthopedic residency at the University of California, San Francisco.
Prior to residency, Dr. LaDouceur served his country in the U.S. Army as a Clinic Director and Family Practitioner. Following residency, Dr. LaDouceur served as Chief of Surgery at Fort Riley, Kansas. His tenure in the Army gave him broad exposure to general orthopedics, with an emphasis in sports medicine, trauma and joint replacement surgery. He specializes in arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee as well as general orthopedics. He also does total joint replacements, including the newly released “gender specific” joints engineered to fit the female anatomy.
Dr. LaDouceur has been the team physician for local high schools since beginning his practice in this area in 1999. He is currently Chief of Staff at Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN.
