Dr. Cook grew up in Nashville and graduated from Hillwood High School. He attended Belmont University while working toward his commercial pilot's license. After two years of doing cancer research at Vanderbilt University, he attended the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine. Dr. Cook graduated first in his class of 167 students and was awarded the faculty Medal for Academic Achievement.
Dr. Cook then completed his general surgery internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. While at UNC, he acted as team physician for local high schools and provided care for both varsity and professional athletes. Dr. Cook specializes in problems of the knee, hip and shoulder, including arthroscopic and open reconstructive procedures. He performs rotating platform, gender specific and unicompartmental knee replacements.
Dr. Cook is married, with 2 small children, and has completed the full Music City Marathon several times. Dr. Cook is currently board eligible after recently completing his Chief Residency year.
