O'Charley's Inc., a leading casual-dining restaurant company, and News 2 are going to “Stuff the Bus” with a back-to-school promotion at 23 O'Charley's restaurants in the Nashville area. The newly announced program will provide hundreds of underprivileged children with school supplies through a partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Twenty- three Nashville area O'Charley's restaurants will participate in the program that will run between July 28 and August 10.
Nashville-area O'Charley's guests and team members wishing to donate new school supplies, such as notebooks, calculators, pencils, backpacks, rulers and other items, may deposit them in special “school bus” collection boxes located in the lobby of each restaurant.
“We are extremely grateful to O'Charley's for their generous support,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of America Senior Vice President Cyndi Court. “It means so much for the children we serve to be able to show up for the first day of school with the educational basics that they would otherwise have to go without.”
“Children are the future of our communities, and it is imperative that we provide all kids with the proper tools to learn,” said Jeff Warne, O'Charley's concept president. “This program is the perfect way for us to fulfill one of O'Charley's primary missions-to be a good corporate citizen, to give back to our communities.”
