Police have named a suspect is Monday afternoon's shooting on Forest Ridge Drive near Central Valley Drive in Hermitage.

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant charging 18-year-old Martez Coaks with two counts of attempted criminal homicide after he reportedly shot at a Metro police detective and his passenger.

No one was injured.

The detective was investigating a robbery and sexual assault that took place over the weekend in an unmarked car when the shooting occurred, just before 4 p.m.

A male victim in the robbery was his passenger and helped police identify Coaks as the shooter and as one of the men who robbed him Saturday.

Police said Coaks has been arrested five times since December 2007.

He may be driving a gold four-door Cadillac Deville.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
