Police arrest 2nd suspect in Hermitage Subway robbery

Metro police have two of the four people accused of holding up a Subway restaurant with machetes last week in custody Wednesday morning.

One of the suspects, Austin Bean, is familiar to police.  Judge Mark Fishburn sentenced Bean to stand outside the Metro courthouse with a sign around his neck that states, “Respect the police” after comments he made on his MySpace.com page.

Bean was arrested and taken to night court Tuesday.

At the time of the conviction, Judge Fishburn said the sentence would show Bean's character.

He said, “My thoughts were that this would either re-enforce what he was testifying to, or it would quickly show that he was not being candid with the court.”

Four people robbed the Central Pike Subway in Hermitage last Thursday.

Police said the four men were armed with a machete, a bat, and a billy club.

Police are still looking for the remaining two suspects.
